Hadas and her parents first came to the Yad Sarah Play Center more than a year ago, along with the rest of her class.
The five-year old struggled to keep up with her peers, growing increasingly irritable and showing signs of frustration. To Yad Sarah's dedicated staff of volunteers, who help children every day through versatile games, hands-on programs, and interactive exercises, it was clear that Hadas had developmental and social delays.
Hadas' parents agreed to continue bringing their daughter back to the Play Center to work on her motor and social skills. Together with the Yad Sarah team, the parents planned a tailor-made program.
Now, this feisty, brilliant little girl has now turned a corner in closing her developmental gap, and her parents feel more empowered to handle their daughter's special needs, too.
Unlike her first visit to the play center, Hadas no longer avoids participating in arts and crafts, she plays well with her peers, and she is taking the initiative to independently create, play, and explore.
